The Pati Valley Trekking experience typically lasts 3 to 5 days without cell phone signal, staying in the homes of local residents, with full board and accompanied by expert guides from the region.
What is the Pati Valley Trekking?
The Pati Valley is located in the heart of the Chapada Diamantina National Park and can only be accessed on foot. The trek involves traversing ancient trails, valleys, plains, and viewpoints, connecting natural landscapes and communities that live within the park.
During the experience, we hiked between 10 km and 18 km per day, with steep ascents and descents and altitude variations of 400 to 500 meters per day, potentially reaching a maximum altitude of 1,400 m.
It's an intense experience, ideal for those who are physically active and seeking a deep connection with nature.

Where do we sleep during the trek?
Accommodation is provided in the homes of families living in the Vale do Pati region — currently, around 14 families reside there.
These are simple rural houses, adapted to welcome hikers passing through the valley, offering an authentic and welcoming experience.
You can expect:
Clean rooms, bed linen and bath towel.
Private or shared rooms (subject to availability)
Shared bathrooms with cold spring water showers
Solar energy, which may run out at times.
Breakfast and dinner prepared by the families
Trail snacks prepared by the guide.
Staying in the homes of local residents is one of the most special parts of trekking — a true cultural immersion.




What is the food like during the Pati Valley trek?
Food is part of the experience! Brazilian, regional, and homemade food of the highest quality is impossible not to love.
Breakfast and dinner are prepared in the residents' homes.
The trail snacks are prepared by the guide during the hike.
Vegetarian options are available; please let us know in advance.

• Small 10L support backpack
• 1.5-liter water bottle (the guide indicates refill points along the way)
• Headlamp (essential for nighttime)
