The 3-day trek in the Pati Valley is a circuit , with the trail starting and ending in Guiné. It's an intense experience, ideal for those with limited time who seek a true immersion in one of the most impressive places in the Chapada Diamantina.

These are days of hiking along nature trails, with steep ascents and descents, large variations in altitude, and overnight stays in the homes of local residents, within the National Park.

What is the 3-day trek like?


During the three days, we hiked along old trails in the Pati Valley, crossing valleys, plains, and natural viewpoints. The trails vary between 10 km and 18 km per day , with accumulated elevation gains of about 400 to 500 meters daily .

The pace is constant and requires physical preparation. The trek is accompanied by an experienced local guide who knows the terrain, access routes, and trail conditions well.

Distance per day:

  • Day 1: 12 km

  • Day 2: 15 km

  • Day 3: 18 km

Where we sleep


The nights are spent in the homes of local residents within the Pati Valley.

The houses are simple, rural, and adapted to accommodate hikers. Lodging is part of the trekking experience and logistics.


You can expect:

  • Simple rooms, bed linen and bath towel.

  • Shared rooms and bathrooms

  • Bath with cold spring water

  • Solar energy, which may run out at times.


Food during trekking


Meals are included throughout the trek.

  • Breakfast and dinner prepared in residents' homes.

  • Trail snacks prepared by the guide during the hike.

If you have dietary restrictions or prefer a vegetarian diet, it is important to let us know in advance.

✔ Many ups and downs , some of them steep and continuous.

✔ Uneven terrain , with rocks, slippery sections, and natural trails.

✔ Sun exposure for a significant portion of the journey.

✔ River crossings , which may vary depending on the water level.

✔ Sections with mud , especially during rainy periods.

✔ Climatic variations , with heat during the day and cooler nights in the valley.
