Terms of Use - Raízes da Chapada
These Terms of Use describe the general conditions of the services offered by Raízes da Chapada. By booking our services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions described herein.
1. About the services:
Raízes da Chapada organizes and facilitates guided ecotourism and adventure tourism experiences in Chapada Diamantina, including tours, trails, treks, and other contracted services—always focusing on safety, respect for nature, and appreciation of local culture.

2. Reservation and payment:
The reservation is only confirmed after payment of the deposit via Pix (20% of the total package value) and sending the requested data.
The remaining balance must be paid two days before the activity begins . We accept Pix, cash, or credit card (with surcharges). Installment plans may be available in specific cases.
All agreed conditions (dates, itinerary, prices, payment method and inclusions) will be described in the Booking Confirmation document .
3. Cancellation and rescheduling:
We work with small groups and local partners. Cancellations, even for justified reasons, generate impacts and costs.
Cancellation by the traveler:
Up to 15 days before the activity: 80% refund of the amount paid.
Between 14 and 7 days in advance: 50% refund.
Less than 7 days, no-show, withdrawal during the tour or deliberate delay: no refund.
Cancellation after the start of contracted services: retention of 100% of the package value.
Rescheduling: Analyzed on a case-by-case basis, subject to availability and possible fees. Credits can be used within 12 months of the request, in full or in part. After this period, the agency may retain the amount.
Changing tours: Requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
Exchanges are possible if there is:
Space available on the desired tour;
Payment of the difference, if the new tour has a higher value.
There is no refund in case of exchange for a tour of lesser value.
Cancellations or changes by the agency (due to logistics, security, weather, or unforeseen circumstances) will be communicated in advance. The traveler may choose between rescheduling or a full refund.
4. Security and risks:
We work with experienced and qualified guides, always prioritizing safety. However, tourism in natural environments involves risks: rugged terrain, climate change, and more.
The traveler must inform any health, dietary or physical condition restrictions before the activity and follow all the guide's instructions.
5. Adventure insurance
All tours include Adventure Insurance provided by Roca Seguros, valid for the duration of the activities booked. The insurance complies with the terms and conditions of the current policy. It does not cover events prior to or after the tour and does not replace personal or travel insurance.
It is important that the data provided by the traveler is correct.
6. Traveler's Conduct
We expect travelers and their companions to be respectful towards the team, other participants, local communities and the environment.
Delays of more than 10 minutes may compromise the group's experience and logistics.
Raízes da Chapada reserves the right to suspend the participation of anyone who jeopardizes safety, the collective well-being, or fails to comply with team guidelines—without refund.
7. Use of image:
During the activities, photos and videos may be taken for institutional use by Raízes da Chapada (website, social media, campaigns, etc.).
If you do not authorize the use of your image, simply inform the team before the tour begins.
8. Changes and availability:
Services, itineraries, prices and availability may change without prior notice due to logistical, operational, climatic or seasonal factors.
Whenever possible, such changes will be communicated to customers in advance.
9. Service Information
All information about packages, itineraries, difficulty levels, items included, and practical guidance is available on our website or can be requested via WhatsApp.
It is the traveler's responsibility to carefully read the material sent before confirming their reservation.
10. Final considerations
These terms apply to all travelers and companions.
