Mixila Waterfall Trekking


Located in the Capivari River canyon, Mixila Waterfall is impressive with its 80-meter waterfall. The route through the canyon that leads to the waterfall requires following the riverbed, jumping over rocks and, for an extra dose of excitement, swimming across two large pools in the final stretch. It's a difficult challenge, but extremely rewarding!

Day 1: Capivari Waterfall and Poção Waterfall

  • Departure: 7am

  • Average walk: 8 km

  • Duration: 5 hours walking

  • Elevation Gain: 590 m

The adventure begins at 7am, with a 9km drive by car or motorbike. Then, a steep climb up the Serra do Bode, with panoramic views of the Marimbu floodplain and the São José River. After a break to swim at the Capivari Waterfall, we head to Poção, where the day ends with camping and dinner under the stars.


Day 2: Capivari River Canyon and Mixila Waterfall

  • Average walk: 10 km

  • Duration: 5 hours walking

  • Elevation Gain: 60 m

After breakfast, the trail continues to Mixila, passing through two wells that require swimming. After enjoying the bath and the view, we return to camp and follow the trail back to the mining road, where a vehicle will be waiting to return to Lençóis.
